AdventHealth names new president/CEO

Daniel Tryon

Daniel Tryon, most recently president of multiple hospitals owned by Kettering Health in Ohio, has been named president and CEO for AdventHealth Hendersonville and AdventHealth Polk, the health care provider announced.

Tryon brings more than 15 years of health care leadership experience in a career reflecting a deep commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care and strategic growth. His leadership has driven improvements in quality outcomes, expanded specialty services and enhanced access to care through initiatives such as the opening of outpatient medical centers and the expansion of Rural Health Clinic access, AdventHealth said in a news release.

He steps into leadership role of AdventHealth in Western North Carolina during a time of remarkable momentum, following the impactful tenure of Brandon Nudd. Nudd assumed the role of president and CEO for AdventHealth Waterman in Florida this week.

"Daniel is a trusted health care leader with an unwavering commitment to patient care,” said Mike Thompson, CEO for the AdventHealth Southeast Region. “His proven ability to drive clinical excellence, combined with a deep commitment to mission-driven leadership, positions him perfectly to guide AdventHealth Hendersonville and AdventHealth Polk as we continue to elevate faith-based, whole-person care in our communities. His collaborative spirit and dedication to cultivating a supportive, empowering work environment will be a tremendous asset to our team members.”

Daniel and his wife are excited to join the community AdventHealth serves in Western North Carolina, where they look forward to continuing the work of building strong teams and expanding access to care.
