BRCHS adds family practitioner
Teresa A. Fralix
Blue Ridge Community Health Services has added Teresa A. Fralix, MD, PhD, to the medical staff.
Dr. Fralix will practice Family Medicine in the Blue Ridge Health Center building at 64E and Howard Gap Road. She received her PhD in biophysical chemistry from the University of Virginia and her MD from Duke University. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has special interests in Geriatrics and Wellness and Prevention.
"Dr. Fralix makes an excellent addition to our team of high-quality, compassionate providers," Dr. Shannon Dowler, the agency's chief medical officer, said in a news release. "It is evident that she shares our commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve."
