The town of Mills River is inviting area nonprofits to seek funding in the town’s 2026-27 budget.
Each year, the town council hears requests from 501(c)(3) nonprofits for the purpose of promoting partnerships for the benefit of Mills River residents and strengthen community organizations. Past recipients include the Mills River Farm Market, Mills River Life Enrichment Center, Literacy Connection, the Housing Assistance Corp. and Smart Start Partnership for Children.
The town council will hear formal requests during a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at town hall. Nonprofit leaders should plan to attend the meeting if their organization submits an application with the town. For an application, contact Patty Brown at patty.brown@millsriver.gov. Applications can also be printed and filled out. They must be submitted no later than 9 a.m. Thursday, April 16.
