UNC Health Pardee officials and community leaders snipped a ribbon on its new Brevard medical campus on Wednesday, marking an important milestone in expanding access to care for patients in Transylvania County and the surrounding region.
Community leaders, providers and UNC Health Pardee teammates gathered to commemorate the opening of the new facility.
“We are proud to continue investing in the health and well-being of Brevard and Transylvania County residents,” said John Bryant, vice president of operations and support services, UNC Health Pardee. “This new medical office building reflects our long-term commitment to this community and our goal of making high-quality care more convenient and accessible.”
Beginning Monday Pardee BlueMD will begin seeing primary care patients in the new 277 N. Broad St. location. The providers and care team are relocating from the existing Asheville Highway space in Brevard to the new building, allowing for an enhanced patient experience and room for continued growth.
Pardee Rx-Brevard, a community pharmacy with both an interior retail space and drive-thru window, will open on the Brevard campus on March 23. Outpatient infusion services — an expansion of services by Pardee Cancer Center — will open in the building later in April with select non-oncology infusions.
Pardee BlueMD Behavioral Health will remain at 1409 Asheville Highway until April, when it will also relocate to the new Brevard campus. Pardee Surgical Associates Brevard and Pardee Neurology Associates will continue seeing patients at their current location at 1409 Asheville Highway.
The community will be invited to attend an open house and tour the facility at a later date this spring.
