NC A&T professor to speak at MLK event
Blue Ridge Community College will host the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast on Monday, Jan. 20, featuring North Carolina A&T State University political science professor Derick Smith as guest speaker.
The event with the theme "I am the Dream" begins with the breakfast at 8:30 a.m. followed by the program in the Blue Ridge Conference Hall. The Human Relations Council of Henderson County and BRCC sponsor the event.
Tickets are $10 adults and $5 children. For more information contact Gary Rivers at (828) 694-1808 or garyr@blueridge.edu. Tickets may be purchased at Rivers' office in room 138 of the Sink Building on the BRCC campus.
