Friends of the Hendersonville High School band are putting on a "Bands for Carnegie" fundraiser to raise money for scholarships for the band's Carnegie Hall trip this month.
The free concert is Sunday, March 9, from 1 to 5 p.m. Entertainers include Pat Corn, HHS class of 1968 and a longtime musician in Nashville, and friends. The Wizard Reunion Band will play hits from 1971. Others include the Johnnie Blackwell Band, David and Tonya Hudson and Friends and the HHS Jazz Band.
Donations and proceeds from raffles go to a scholarship fund to send students on the New York trip.
