Pardee, Park Ridge win top grade for safety

Pardee Hospital and Park Ridge Health each received a top grade for protecting patients from accidents, errors, injuries and infections.The Leapfrog Group awarded the two Henderson County hospitals A’s in its Spring 2015 Hospital Safety Score. Pardee has received an “A” rating five consecutive times, currently the longest streak in Western North Carolina.
Calculated under the guidance of Leapfrog’s Blue Ribbon Expert Panel, the Hospital Safety Score uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to produce a single A through F score representing a hospital’s overall capacity to keep patients safe from preventable harm. Mission Health in Asheville also won an A. Rutherford Hospital received a D. Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde and Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva both received a C.
