FLETCHER — Veritas Christian Academy students earned a score of three or higher on 54 of the 63 Advanced Placement tests, meaning they may receive college credit, the school said.
Veritas juniors and seniors took AP exams in Latin Virgil, Calculus, Chemistry, Language, Literature, History, and US Government. Advanced Placement scores play a major role in acceptance to highly selective schools, giving admissions committees the opportunity to compare the performance of students across the nation on specific course content.
Advanced Placement exams are graded on a scale of 1 to 5. Students who earn a score of 3 or above on a particular test may receive course credit at a number of colleges and universities.
“The quality classical Christian education Veritas provides continues to enable our students to reach their academic goals and to experience success as they further their education,” said Veritas Head of School Kay Belknap.
