Tryon man gets 18-year sentence for burglary (2)

A Tryon man was sentenced as a habitual felon to 18 years in prison after his conviction in Henderson County Superior Court on burglary charges, District Attorney Greg Newman announced.

Ronnie Bell was found guilty by a jury on charges of second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools. Bell pleaded guilty to habitual felon status.

In other cases heard in the Sept. 19-30 term of Superior Court by Judge Mark E. Powell:

• Lanny Carroll, of 42 Tobacco Lane, Hendersonville, pled guilty to Attempted Trafficking of Methamphetamine and Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine. Carroll was sentenced to 60 months in prison.
• Deshawn Perry, of 718 Harper Circle, New Port, TN, pled guilty to Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury. Perry was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
• Kendell Rudisill, of 214 Allen Road, East Flat Rock, pled guilty to Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury and was sentenced to six months in prison and 36 months supervised probation.
• Darrell Wakefield, of 311 Pioneer Place, Spartanburg, SC, pled guilty to Larceny by Trick and was sentenced to 170 days confinement.
