Mall launches initiative to 're-energize' shopping experience

Owner plans promotions to draw more shoppers to Blue Ridge Mall.

The owner of the Blue Ridge Mall has launched a series of promotions to "re-energize" mall shopping through events that will include a mural contest, shopping events that support of local nonprofits and Sports Zone, a youth-oriented night out at the mall.

Hull Property Group, the August, Ga.-based owner of the mall on Four Seasons Boulevard, on Wednesday announced the launch of Community Connection, an effort will include email, social media, inspirational events and an enhanced shopping experience to draw more shoppers

“The goal of the Community Connection program is to give shoppers more ways to connect with the Mall. We want to bring people together, show them what the Mall has to offer and reenergize the community about what is right here in Hendersonville,” said Hull Property Group marketing director Coles Doyle. “Whether you are looking for store promotions, seasonal styles or a fun family event, we now have multiple channels for communicating with customers and giving shoppers a reason to visit and continually return to the Mall."

The company vowed to launch initiatives that bring families and organizations to the mall for fun and inspiring programs. New events include Color for a Cause, a mural coloring contest and shopping event in support of local nonprofits, and Sports Zone, a night out at the Mall that inspires local youth to be active. The Hendersonville READS program, which encourages students to read and supports school libraries, will continue to grow with multiple events held at the Mall throughout the school year.

“We will be focusing on events that build on the shopping experience. We have dedicated resources to organizing and hosting mall run events that partner with our tenants, utilize mall amenities and bring the community together to inspire our shoppers," Doyle said. "We are excited to bring these new events to life and see them grow."

In addition to events, other aspects of the Community Connection program are an improved presence on social media and the launch of a Fashion Insider newsletter. The mall has enhanced its Facebook page to better interact with shoppers and distribute information on sales, specials, fashion trends and mall news in real time. Shoppers can sign up to be a Fashion Insider and receive electronic newsletters featuring seasonal trends, gift guides, event invitations, new store announcements and more.

As part of the Community Connection program, the Mall will also be working to further enhance the shopping experience for customers by creating a new seating plan for patron benches anchored by seasonal community displays that bring life and energy to common areas and corridors. Shoppers can expect to see these enhancements in the second half of the year.

“We want to encourage everyone to connect with us whether that is by liking our Facebook page, signing up to be a Fashion Insider or coming out for a new mall event," Doyle said. "We are going to be doing some exciting new things and we want to wow our shoppers by creating a truly unique experience that the Hendersonville community is proud to be a part of."
