Flat Rock holding open house on greenways

The Village of Flat Rock greenway advisory committee is hosting a bicycle and pedestrian plan open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at the Village Hall.

Engineers with the village’s consultant and greenway committee members will be on hand to hear ideas and requests for greenways in Flat Rock. The committee has so far been looking at a greenway connecting the Carl Sandburg Home and Village Hall to the Park at Flat Rock, said Village Council member John Dockendorf, the liaison to the greenway committee. The town of Laurel Park and city of Hendersonville are also conducting bike-ped plans.
