Sheriff's deputies charged a volunteer baseball coach at West Henderson High School with three misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor for allegedly smoking pot with the players after practice.
School resource deputies from the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office were made aware of allegations on March 17. After an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, and in consultation with the District Attorney’s Office, deputies charged Brett Baker, 22, of Hendersonville, with the misdemeanor charges for the incidents, which the sheriff's office said took place off-campus. Baker turned himself in to the Henderson County Magistrate’s Office after he was notified of the charges on Monday. He was released on a written promise to appear. His first court appearance is scheduled for District Court of Henderson County on May 19.
