WHHS student elected state president of FCCLA

The West Henderson High School chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America attended the state FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Greensboro last week, and the high school juniors brought home multiple medals – plus a presidency.

Lauren Mullis was elected the next president of the N.C. FCCLA, and will be representing the western region at many conferences and events throughout the next year, in addition to representing West Henderson at FCCLA's 2019 National Leadership Conference in June in Anaheim, California.

Abby Moore won a gold medal for her project, "Entrepreneurship: Clothable Consignment," and will also be representing West at Nationals this summer. Destiny Queen won a gold medal for her project, "Environmental Ambassador: Food Waste," Olivia Moore won a silver medal for her project, "Chapter in Review Portfolio: A Creative Student Organization of Kindness," and Joy Wilson and Jessica Rubino won a silver medal for their project, "Chapter Service Project Display: PSPM Stations."
