Hendersonville police officers are seeking a 20-year-old local man who they have charged with robbing and shooting an 18-year-old on Friday.
Police responded around 5 p.m. to an emergency call in the area of Woodcock Drive and Robinson Terrace where a shooting had occurred. Based on their investigation, officers found a robbery had taken place resulting from drug-related activity. The 18-year-old male had been shot in the leg and treated and released from a local hospital.
Officers have charged Trayvon Rasheen Downs with armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Downs was asked to contact the Hendersonville Police Department at (828) 697-3025.
