County to mark Sept. 11 with Reverence, Remembrance, Reflection

Henderson County will conduct a brief ceremony at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, on the Historic Courthouse Square to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the U.S.

Reverence, Remembrance, Reflection will be the central theme of the program: Reverence to show respect for the sacrifice given by so many and their families, Remembrance to commemorate the lessons learned and Reflection to consider the course we have followed since. Patriot Day is a day for all Americans to come together in unity, setting aside our differences to recognize our common bond. The event is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to join us.
