Cooper tightens rules for shopping, nursing homes

In further efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19, Gov. Roy Cooper on Thursday issued stronger social distancing requirements at retail stores and mandatory guidelines for nursing homes. The order also makes it easier for employers to file unemployment claims for batches of employees at one time.
