Cooper shuts down speedway that's been violating emergency order

RALEIGH — The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services issued an order requiring an Alamance County speedway to immediately close their facility and halt operations. ACE Speedway’s recent actions constitute an imminent hazard for the spread of covid-19, an acute threat to North Carolinians which must not continue, the DHHS said in a news release.
