Fletcher close to finishing dog park

FLETCHER — Fletcher Parks and Recreation has begun the final phase of its dog park.

The dog park fencing was schedule to be completed and grass has been planted in the twin lots. One lot is for big dogs weighing more than 25 pounds and the other lot is for small dogs, weighing less than 25 pounds.
Morris Broadband has committed $10,000 to the Dog Park project, to help pay for such amenities as benches, doggy stations and a water fountain.
The Town of Fletcher plans to hold a grand opening of the new dog park in March 2013.
