Mrs. Aileen Harmon Sinclair, 93, of Gerton, died on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 with her loving family by her side at the family "home place". She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 43 years, Marion C. Sinclair, a brother Charles Harmon and four sisters: Ruth Bess, Ann Beam, Lula Bell Allen, and Mildred Wright.

A native of Waco, NC, she was born on September 3, 1921. She attended Waco High School and then she attended Grace Hospital School of Nursing in Morganton, NC. After several years of nursing, Aileen married the love of her life, Marion. They had three children and their home was the gathering place for great times, an abundance of Ms. Aileen's fantastic cooking and ice cream. It was the kind of warm home filled with laughter that everyone in the area came to know as the "home place". She filled the home with love and God. Aileen was cooking and nursing right up until the end. She was very active in her church, Bearwallow Baptist Church. Aileen spent her life devoted to caring for others and administering to the sick. Her nursing spanned the world as she and the family followed her husband's military career. She worked at various hospitals in the area including the Veterans Administration and St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a member of the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge Community Club and the Veterans Auxiliary. She loved taking care of her beloved pets.

She is survived by her three children: son, William Sinclair of Gerton, daughter McAlynn "Mackie" Sinclair Price and her husband Dr. Bulo Ervin Price III of Shelby and son Jeffrey Sinclair of Gerton. She is also survived by one sister Nell Farrell and her husband Max of San Antonio, TX. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Jessica Price, B.E. Price IV, Jeremy Sinclair, Connie Sinclair, Josh Sinclair and Sarah Sinclair and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Bearwallow Baptist Church on Highway 74, Gerton, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior and at other times at 6601 Bearwallow Mountain Road, Gerton, NC. Service will be officiated by Dr. Bulo Price III and Reverend Bobby Dees and Reverend Donnie Freeman. Burial will follow at the Bearwallow Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bearwallow Baptist Church or the Bearwallow Cemetery. Contributions may also be made to Four Season's Hospice. Thos.
