Frank E. Watson, 93

Frank E. Watson, age 93 of Hendersonville died Thursday, September 8th, 2016 at Sunnybrook Assisted Living. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri; a son of the late, Frank Ezell Watson and Madeline Morrison Watson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Luke Watson.

Mr. Watson graduated from Emory University in 1950; while he was in college he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942 where he served as a Navigator on a B-24 Bomber in the South Pacific completing 38 missions throughout the duration of World War II. He was employed with General Electric for many years; following his retirement he and his family moved back to Hendersonville.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Martha Jones Watson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Betsy Watson of Shelby and Dick and Terri Watson of Rockford, IL; one daughter, Judi Olmstead of Myrtle Beach, SC; and three granddaughters, Lindsay Watson, Lauren Jenrich and her husband, Cameron and Danielle Watson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 in the Brunson Chapel of the First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville officiated by the Reverend Dr. Mark Ralls.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Sunnybrook Assisted Living for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in Frank’s memory be directed to (CMT) Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, 116 Market Street, Suite 4, Johnstown, PA 15901 or by visiting; or to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
