Frances Christine Cagle Maxwell, age 84, a lifelong resident of Hendersonville, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 21st, 2017 at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family. Frances attended Hendersonville High School. She was a housewife for most of her life but worked in the lunchroom at Balfour Elementary School for about 10 years.

Frances loved life and especially loved her family. She loved the joy of laughter and will forever be remembered for her infectious laugh. She also loved her orange tabby cat, treating her like another member of the family. She loved her First Baptist Church Family and was known at the church as the “candy lady” because she was always passing out “Wint-O” mints. She enjoyed the Wednesday Night suppers at FBC, always finding joy and laughter with her special group of friends. She enjoyed going to see and listening to Gospel music; with her favorite group being Triumphant Quartet. She always found great joy in cardinals, butterfly pins, all jewelry, the color purple, Facebook and shopping at consignment stores and yard sales.

Maxwell; two daughters, Terri Redden and husband, Myron, Vicki Worley and husband, Bill all of Hendersonville; two grandsons, Blake Redden and wife, Natalie of Fletcher and Brad Redden and wife, Ashley of Waxhaw; one step-grandson, Rob Worley and wife, Melody of Marietta, SC; two step-granddaughters, Christa Parlow and husband, Eric of Mills River and Kelley Turbyfill and husband, Anthony of Fletcher; three great-granddaughters, Emma, Ella and Hensley Redden; and a great-grandson due in May; step-great-grandchildren, Anna and Trace Turbyfill and Jenny and Jordan Parlow.
