Jamie Gartner Moody

Jamie Gartner Moody, 36, of Hendersonville, died at the Elizabeth House on Thursday, March 7, 2013. She was born in Troy, N.Y., on April 2, 1976, one of two daughters of Michael Allen and Elizabeth Porter Gartner who now reside in Hendersonville. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gillian Gartner.

She was a graduate of Mechanicville High School in Mechanicville, N.Y. and University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a business degree in hospitality management. She worked at Shefter and Fertik Periodontist office as the correspondence coordinator.

In addition to her parents she is survived by the love of her life, Christopher Moody. They were married on September 14, 2002 on the beach in Snead's Ferry. She is also survived by her two children, her son, Adam Christopher Moody, age 8, and her daughter, Riley Gillian Moody, age 5; her brother, Noah Gartner of Brookfield, IL; her mother-in-law, Connie Moody, and her father-in-law, Robert Moody of Hendersonville.

Jamie was a devoted wife and mother. She loved to laugh and enjoyed playing with her children, taking them to the park, going out to dinner, watching movies, cuddling on the couch with "Chris", and always had an endless supply of hugs and kisses

A memorial service in celebration of Jamie's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Hendersonville, with Dr. Ryan Pack officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Adam and Riley Moody donation fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
