Stanley Bernard Romaner, 93

Stanley Bernard Romaner, 93, of Hendersonville and formerly of Franklin, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock after a brief illness.

Born in Bronx, NY, he moved to Emeritus at Pine Park in Hendersonville in January, 2014. A World War II veteran, Mr. Romaner served in the US Army.

His passion was his family and dogs, loving them more than anything.

Mr. Romaner was proudly married to his wife, Ethel Romaner, for 70 years. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in the chapel of Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
