U.S. Rep. Mark Meadows will join a FreedomWorks public policy official this month in "an honest discussion of the future of ObamaCare" at a town hall meeting in Hendersonville.
Dean Clancy, a FreedomWorks vice president of public policy, will appear with Meadows as part of the organizaiton's efforts to educate voters and demand town hall meetings with members of Congress.
"Since the launch of www.DemandATownhall.com, FreedomWorks has received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from our network of 6 million activists nationwide regarding our support of efforts to demand townhalls with members of Congress," Clancy said in a news release.
Meadows is the House leader of an effort to block implementation of the Affordable Care Act by removing funding for the law.
The discussion over a "Dutch Treat Lunch" is Monday, Aug. 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chariot, 715 N. Church St. Lunch tickets are $12 per person. To sign up call Bill Lack at 828-253-5709.
