City wins $45k grant to rehab Green Meadwos basketball court

Basketball courts at Sullivan Park in Green Meadows will get a rehab job and upfit thanks to a grant.

Retail Sports Marketing Inc. in partnership with Opella Healthcare Group and the Icy Hot brand awarded the city $45,000 in a partnership with the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation’s “Comebaq Court” initiative. The city will manage the rehabilitation of the court’s surface and basketball goals. In addition, Retail Sports Marketing has agreed to work with Opella, Icy Hot and Dollar General to secure an additional grant to fund literacy programs at the Fazio Family Boys & Girls Club. The Hendersonville City Council voted to accept the grant during its regular meeting last week.
