City invites public input on sustainability plan

The city of Hendersonville is inviting the community to provide input on the creation of the city’s first sustainability strategic plan during two public input opportunities on July 17.

“As Hendersonville continues to grow, it is more important now than ever to align growth with sustainable practices,” said Caitlyn Gendusa, the city's sustainability manager. “We want to hear what is most important to our community as we develop a plan that will guide our City's policies and practices as it relates to sustainability." 

The sustainability plan will address goals focuing on energy, transportation, waste management, land management and water. Drop-in public input sessionsare 10 a.m.-noon and 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, July 17 at the City Operations Center, 305 Williams St. For more information, visit www.hvlnc.gov/sustainability.
