Emporium on Main opens this week

The Emporium on Main, a new shopping destination, is opening this week on the site of the former NuWay Cleaners on South Main Street.

The 5,700-square-foot renovated space will house a number of regional artisans and vendors selling products for the home, gifts, apparel, handmade jewelry, antiques and vintage items. The Emporium on Main provides free parking on site with more than 15 spaces in front and in the rear of the store.

Jenny Breedlove and Bridgett Minogue, owners of The Emporium have taken their friendship and
entrepreneurship spirit to create this exciting venue for the community and tourist.
A soft opening is scheduled for Wednesday for the main floor of this project, which will display 45 vendors as well as a coffee station providing fresh-baked pastries. The second phase of this project will kick off during the Apple Festival, where local wines will be introduced during daily wine tastings.

In October, The Emporium on Main will open the lower-level shops housing over 40 more vendors as well as artists’ workshop spaces. Special events throughout the year will feature several types of social gatherings, including murder mysteries, high teas, fashion shows and other game nights and entertainment.
The Emporium on Main will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays with special openings during events scheduled in downtown Hendersonville.
