City leaders invite public to ‘Council Conversations’

Hendersonville City Council members invite residents and community members to join them at a series of “Council Conversations” on Monday evenings in the coming weeks.

The informal gatherings allow the public to interact with the elected officials by asking questions, voicing concerns and working together toward solutions. 

Each meeting will last approximately one hour and will be hosted by an individual council member. City staff members will also be available to answer questions and provide information on city services and programs.  

Council Conversations, at 6 p.m. each day, are scheduled for the following dates and locations:  

Monday, Sept. 22, Speak Life Community Church, 400 First Ave. W., hosted by council member Melinda Lowrance.

Monday, Sept. 29, Black Bear Coffee, 318 N. Main St., hosted by Mayor pro tem Jennifer Hensley.

Monday, Oct. 6. Blue Ridge Community College, Technology Education & Development Center, 180 W. Campus Drive, hosted by council member Lyndsey Simpson.

Monday, Oct. 13, North Henderson High School cafeteria, 35 Fruitland Road, hosted by Mayor Barbara Volk. (This meeting will offer Spanish interpretation services by True Ridge.)

Monday, Oct. 20, Hendersonville Train Depot, 650 Maple St., hosted by council member Gina Baxter.
