Ager's campaign haul grows to $1.6 million — from 5,600 donors

Jamie Ager, the Democratic nominee for the 11th Congressional District seat currently held by U.S. Rep. Chuck Edwards, has announced that his campaign raised more than $950,000 from over 5,600 donors in the first quarter of 2026, bringing the campaign to a total of over $1.6 million raised with more than $1 million cash on hand.

“I’m proud of the strong grassroots campaign we’re running,” Ager, a fourth generation farmer from Fairview, said in a news release.

“We’ve had thousands of people who are stepping up and helping shape this movement. We’re running a campaign that’s rooted in and focused on Western North Carolina — not political games, partisan rhetoric or corporate interests.”

Ager released his first quarter totals before the federal campaign finance reporting deadline of April 15; Edwards's report was not yet available. The  Republican incumbent had raised $638,729 for this election cycle and had $484,287 cash on hand through Feb. 11, according to FEC records.
