Fletcher mayor endorses Summey

Fletcher Mayor Bill Moore has endorsed Henderson County Sheriff's candidate Erik Summey.


"The Town of Fletcher does not want to lose Chief Summey, but the citizens of Henderson County will certainly gain a great Sheriff," Moore, who has served as the Town of Fletcher's Mayor for more than 14 years, said in a news release. "He is a respected public servant, and his endorsement confirms his belief that Summey is the right candidate for voters to choose in the May 6th primary."
"Just as he has demonstrated here at the Fletcher Police Department, Chief Summey has the education, training and the experience to lead the Sheriff's Department," Moore added. "His dedication to public service and his insightful vision of role of the Sheriff's Department for the citizens of Henderson County make him the ideal choice for Sheriff. I am very proud to endorse Chief Summey."
Summey, has served as Fletcher police chief since 2010. He has over 24 years of supervisory and leadership education and experience in law enforcement.
