Candidate for House District 113 to speak

Jake Johnson, the only announced Republican candidate for State House District 113 seat, will be the guest speaker at the Henderson County Republican Men’s Club breakfast meeting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Dixie Diner in Laurel Park.

Johnson, a Polk County commissioner, is seeking the Republican nomination to represent State House District 113, currently held by Rep. Cody Henson, who has announced that he is not seeking re-election. District 113 includes southern Henderson County and all of Transylvania and Polk counties.
