Now two Caskeys are on the ballot in 2020

A Caskey has been on the ballot for two November elections in row, with Brian Caskey winning a seat on the Mills River Town Board in 2017 and his wife, Stacey Caskey, finishing fourth in the contest for three seats on the Henderson County School Board in 2018.

Both Caskeys will be on the ballot in 2020, although it remains to be seen whether that will be at the same time.

Stacey Caskey filed for the School Board, which will be on the ballot on Nov. 3, 2020. Caskey becomes the sixth candidate for the School Board. In addition to incumbents Michael Absher and Blair Craven, challengers Florence Allbaugh, Robert Bridges and Walter Doughty have filed. Incumbents Rick Wood and Mary Louise Corn are not seeking re-election.

Brian Caskey is one of three candidates seeking the Democratic nomination for the Senate District 48 in a March 3 primary. Also running are the incumbent, Republican Chuck Edwards, and Democrats Najah Underwood and Cristal Figueroa. If Caskey is the nominee, he and his wife would both be on the ballot on Nov. 3.
