Country star Darryl Worley highlights Cawthorn fundraiser

Darryl Worley will perform for a Madison Cawthorn fundraiser on Aug. 30.

Popular country musician Darryl Worley will highlight a fundraiser for the Madison Cawthorn for Congress Campaign Sunday, Aug. 30, at Point Lookout Vineyard, 408 Appleola Road.

A native of Savannah, Tennessee, Worley was raised by a Methodist minister father and church-choir mother and is described as a “prayer warrior.” His album "I Miss My Friend" earned him his first No. 1 single. He’s recorded six albums, including a second No. 1 country album, “Have You Forgotten?” and 20 hit singles.
The grounds at Point Lookout will open at 4 p.m. followed at 5 p.m. by opening act Adam Macera. The Darryl Worley show begins at 7 p.m. Other event activities will include food trucks, merchandise sales and a chance to win door prizes. Shuttle service will be available from the parking lot to the venue. Tickets are $60 for general admission.
