Apple sellers and food vendors reported brisk sales and one of the biggest crowds ever this weekend at the North Carolina Apple Festival.

Apple vendors said they had good supplies of fresh apples, including Honey Crisp, which remains the most popular seller at the Apple Festival.

At the Creasman apple booth, growers said they had sold about 45 bushels this weekend.

The 68th annual edition of the festival continues on Labor Day, culminating with the King Apple Parade at 2:30 p.m.
