Bear auction brings in record haul

Downtown Hendersonville annual Bearfootin’ Auction on Saturday raised a record $57,400 for local non-profits and the downtown program, the city announced.

This year set a record high even in light of the change of venue due to the weather. Downtown Hendersonville thanked auctioneer John Lynn, the Friends of Downtown volunteers, the public works department, bidders, sponsors and artists that made the event a success.
