Christmas tree recycling is Saturday

Get out the tree. Get out the broom. Get out the vacuum cleaner. Christmas tree recycling day is upon us.

MountainTrue is hosting its annual Christmas tree, Christmas card and tree lights recycling event at ballfield No. 6 at Jackson Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Trees and wreaths should be stripped of all decorations and lights. King Hardware & Rental provides the mulcher and Hendersonville and Henderson County personnel will be on site to mulch the trees. Lights will be recycled by the Henderson County Coop Extension Service for the 4-H Project. MountainTrue volunteers will be on hand to help and serve free cookies and hot apple cider. Free mulch will be available to those that want to take some home for your garden and landscaping.
