Dreams do come true. Owners of Fletcher’s first brewery, Blue Ghost Brewing Company, Zachary Horn and Erik Weber have been dreaming of opening their own brewery for over a decade now and this weekend years of imagining, months of planning and building will come to fruition. Blue Ghost Brewing will hold a weekend long Grand Opening celebration starting Friday March 4th, including live music, food trucks, and children’s crafts and of course an extensive beer menu which will highlight the staple beers and specialty brews. Both Horn and Weber have experience in home brewing and commercial brewing but are eager to craft their own brews here in Fletcher. They said they’d like Blue Ghost to be a community center of sorts. Where family and friends can come hang out, have a good time and connect over a brew or two. The taproom is stocked with both children’s and adult games and even Fido will get a dog biscuit on the house.Blue Ghost is located at 125 Underwood Road in Fletcher. This weekend’s Grand Opening hours are Friday March 4th 2-9pm, Saturday March 5th 12pm-9pm, and Sunday March 6th 12pm-6pm.Check out the Blue Ghost Brewing Company’s Facebook page and website (www.blueghostbrewing.com) for normal hours of operation and information on upcoming specialty beer releases, live music, food trucks, and children’s activities.
