Hot dog cookout, live music, car show will benefit Sgt. Davidson

A fundraiser Saturday will help cover travel and medical expenses for Melinda Davidson, who is undergoing breast cancer treatment.

A hot dog, car show and live music benefit is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Saturday at West Henderson High School for Melinda Davidson, a Henderson County Sheriff's Office sergeant who is battling breast cancer.


Davidson has been battling Stage 3 breast cancer since December 2020. She recently finished chemotherapy treatments and is scheduled for  surgery in Chapel Hill in July followed by radiation treatments. All money raised will go to medical and travel expensive.
