Farmers Market to 'Go Pink' for Breast Cancer Awareness

The Hendersonville Farmers Market in the Historic Seventh Avenue District will host its first annual Go Pink Day during the regular market hours of 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The special event will feature all of the beloved Hendersonville Farmers Market vendors, each offering exclusive, pink-themed products to raise awareness and support for breast cancer. Visitors will find seasonal produce, handmade goods, and delicious treats, all while supporting a vital cause.

A highlight of the day will be the "Mammo on the Go" mobile mammography bus from Pardee Hospital. This state-of-the-art unit offers on-site 3D breast imaging, providing convenience for those seeking screening services. The unit is staffed by an expert team of female technologists, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.

Community members are encouraged to schedule their mammogram appointment in advance. To book an appointment with Mammo on the Go, visit MammoOnTheGo.com.

Honeysuckle Holler will also be leading fun line dancing classes free on the Historic Depot Plaza beginning at 10 a.m., inviting participants of all ages and skill levels to join in and kick up their heels.

“We’re excited to partner with Pardee Hospital to offer this important service while bringing our community together for a fun and meaningful day,” said Dakota Parker, manager for the Farmers Market, “Go Pink Day is a great way for people to shop local, enjoy all their favorite vendors, and support breast cancer awareness at the same time.”
