Here are county, city closing plans for the holidays

All Henderson County local government offices, agencies, and the Henderson County Courthouse close in observance of the holiday season on Thursday and Friday. The transfer station and recycling center will be open on Thursday and closed for the holiday on Friday and Saturday, resuming regular operating hours on Monday, Dec. 27.

The Henderson County Public Library and all branches close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday and remain closed until Monday, when they will open under regular business hours. The Henderson County Animal Services Department is closing Thursday, Friday and Saturday and will resume regular business hours on Monday.

All Henderson County parks are open 365 days a year. The delivery of emergency services will not be disrupted during the holidays. All Henderson County offices, agencies, and the Hendreson County Courthouse will resume normal operating hours on Monday, December 27, 2021.

The city of Hendersonville government offices will be closed on Thursday, Friday and Monday for the Christmas holiday. Government offices will also be closed on Friday, Dec. 31, in observance of the New Year.

Garbage, recycling, and brush collection schedules:

  • Thursday, Dec. 23 – Regular schedule
  • Friday, Dec. 24 – No garbage, recycling, or brush collected
  • Monday, Dec. 27 – Regular schedule plus Friday, December 24 routes
  • Friday, Dec. 31 – Regular schedule
