Citing Covid surge, Brevard Music Center cancels February shows

Citing a high Covid caseload, Brevard Music Center on Monday announced the cancellation of February concerts scheduled at Parker Concert Hall.

The shows were Piano Perfection with pianist Zee Zee in recital on Feb. 1 and Stars of Tomorrow featuring the Curtis Institute String Quintet on Feb. 22.

All other spring Parker Concert Hall Series programs are scheduled to take place as planned. Brevard Music Center said in a news release that it made the decision after a thoughtful and iterative process including continued monitoring of conditions and data from local, state and national public health agencies. The Music Center takes its ethical responsibility seriously to support community health and safety, and to do its part to help mitigate stress on local resources.
