Mills River seeks candidates to fill vacant council seat

Following the recent resignation of longtime council member Roger Snyder, the town of Mills River is seeking applicants to fill the seat.

The selected candidate will serve the remainder of the vacated term, which runs until December of 2023.
The town is accepting applications through Feb. 18 from interested individuals who are residents of the town. This is an at-large seat so anyone from any district is eligible. The Town is interested in filling this vacancy quickly, as budget season is here and it is important a full board is present to consider funding for the upcoming budget year.
Town Council will review applications at its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24. An appointment is expected by March 10.
