WHAT'S NEW: HHS parking lot gets new traffic signal

Just in time for the first day of school, Hendersonville High School's new parking lot at Five Points has a newly installed traffic light and new markings.

The traffic light allows a left turn from the parking lot onto northbound Asheville Highway via a left turn greenlight. Exiting cars can also go straight onto North Main Street and right onto North Church Street. NCDOT District Engineer Lonnie Watkins notified the county's Transportation Advisory Committee last week that the new signals and new pavement markings had been completed.
