What do you do in your volunteer job?

I am involved in a program developed to get at-risk youth on bicycles.

How long have you been volunteering?

I’ve been volunteering for several months after originally coming to Hope seeking support and access to community resources. 

Why do you volunteer?

My intention in volunteering is to give back to the community and provide support to people that want help.

What’s the best thing about volunteering?

Acting as a guide in this process has intrinsic value and fulfills my desire to be a helpful person as well continue my recovery journey.

If someone is interested in volunteering, what advice would you give based on your own experience?

There are a lot of folks that need guidance in our society and taking the time from a capitalistic path that is basically irrelevant is a great place to start.
