Festivities celebrate Oskar Blues's 10th anniversary in Brevard

BREVARD — Oskar Blues Brewery will celebrate 10 years of craft brewing and community in Brevard with a four-day Brevardiversary celebration next weekend featuring live music, food trucks, specialty beers and more.

The festivities run from Friday, Dec. 9, through Monday, Dec. 12.  

Since brewing its first batch of Dale’s Pale Ale in Brevard on Dec. 12, 2012, Oskar Blues has become a deeply connected part of Brevard and Western North Carolina. The craft brewery has quadrupled its annual production in the state from 46,000 barrels in 2013 to 180,000 barrels in 2022, and currently employs 105  people in the area. The brewery has further expanded its North Carolina footprint to a total of almost 100,000 square feet with the addition of an offsite packaging and warehouse facility at the Sylvan Valley Industrial Center. 

Following is the daily schedule of activities including the complete music lineup:  

Friday, Dec. 9

Saturday, Dec. 10 
Live Music: 5 p.m. James Brown Dance Party  
8 p.m. Sexbruise
Food Trucks: Oskar Blues CHUBwagon and The Cheef BBQ 
Noon-6 p.m. Free. Oskar Blues Flash Art Tattoos from Kris Roberts of Serpent & Rainbow Tattoo (very limited spots – first come first served) 

Sunday, Dec. 11  
Live Music: 1 p.m. Pretty Little Goat & Friends 
Food Trucks: Oskar Blues CHUBwagon 
4:30 p.m. Can’d Aid Bike Build for Kids 

Monday, Dec. 12 
Live Music: 6 p.m. The Levitators with Jeff Sipe
Food Trucks: Oskar Blues CHUBwagon and Brezel Pretzel Bus 
Throwback Beer Special: $4 Draft Dale’s Pale Ale all day long.

Limited-run Throwback Brevardiversary beers available will include Deviant Dale’s Double IPA, G’reat Nite Imperial Red Ale and Blue Dream IPA. Admission is free. The event will take place at the Oskar Blues Brevard taproom, 342 Mountain Industrial Drive, Brevard, N.C. 28712.
