Five hurt when pickup crashes into hair salon

Hendersonville police charged a 66-year-old driver who crashed her pickup truck into a hair salon at Henderson Crossing shopping center on Four Seasons Boulevard on Thursday afternoon, injuring five people including a toddler and an elderly woman.

Hendersonville police were dispatched at 3:40 p.m. to Studio 64 Hair Design where an orange Toyota Tacoma was completely inside the building. Occupants of the shop salon injured in the crash included a 46-year-old man, with a minor lower right leg abrasion; 22-year-old woman, with a right knee/leg injury; 22-year-old woman, with a right ankle injury; 1-year-old girl, with an upper right leg laceration; and an 87-year-old woman, with a head/neck injury

Three of the injured individuals were transported by Henderson County EMS and Henderson County Rescue Squad to Pardee Hospital for treatment.  The driver of the Tacoma, Carolyn Goins, was charged with failure to reduce speed. Neither Goins, who also is the registered owner of the pickup, nor a passenger were injured.
