Hospital rebrands as UNC Health Pardee

In alignment with the UNC Health system, Pardee UNC Health Care has changed its name to UNC Health Pardee, effective today.

Pardee also debuted a new logo in support of this name change.
The UNC Health system introduced its rebrand in February 2020 with the intention of affiliating and managing healthcare organizations to do so shortly after that, but the process was put on hold because of the pandemic. The new identity is now rolling out to affiliate hospitals.
The healthcare system will keep local governance, fiduciary responsibility and decision-making while maintaining its partnership affiliation with the UNC Health system.
“We will remain a locally-owned healthcare authority with local governance and decision-making through our Board of Directors and Henderson County Commissioners, who live and work in this community,” said Jay Kirby, President and CEO, UNC Health Pardee. “The rebrand will look a little different to our community, but it does not change our commitment to serving our community and providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.”
While the region will begin to see the transition to the new name and logo beginning today, it will take some time for the new brand to be updated in all places. Updates for the name and logo will happen in phases and transition over time. Items such as digital assets will change over quickly; however, larger scope projects like signage will gradually be replaced.
“While the rebrand does not change any local operations or the relationship between Pardee and UNC, it is simply the next step in UNC Health’s strategy to create a cohesive health system across the state, demonstrating how we work as one UNC Health to prepare for the future of healthcare,” Kirby said.
