Hawktail, renowned for a captivating fusion of bluegrass, folk, and Americana, headlines the first Rhythm & Brews show of the season Thursday night with Holler Choir opening at 5:30.

The free outdoor concert on the third Thursday May through September ramps up downtown fun, complete with craft beverages, food trucks and kids’ activities. Presented by Horizon Heating & Air, the concert series is also supported by Norm’s Minit Mart, Yoga and Massage, B Squared Realty, Optimum, Van Winkle Law Firm and BGW CPA. Rhythm & Brews and the Friends of Downtown Hendersonville also receive support from the Henderson County Tourism Development Authority.

Comprised of virtuoso musicians Brittany Haas, Paul Kowert, Jordan Tice, and Dominick Leslie, Hawktail delivers a seamless blend of instrumental prowess and soul-stirring melodies that has earned the band critical acclaim and a devoted following.

Holler Choir is a string band outfit breaking out in the South East’s Roots Music Scene in 2023. Holler Choir’s band members include Clint Roberts (guitar, vocals), Helena Rose (banjo, vocals), Norbert McGettigan (bass, vocals), Bridger Dunnagan (fiddle), and a rotating cast of additional talent. The ensemble's sound features tight vocal harmonies, driving clawhammer banjo energy, introspective lyrics and melodic hooks reminiscent of '90s Triple A radio hits.

The headliner performance is from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:15 p.m.
