Patton Pool opening delayed

The city pushed back the opening of Patton Pool this year because of delays in the installation of a new diving board.

Located at Patton Park, the pool traditionally opens for the season on Memorial Day weekend. There is no opening date scheduled at this time. Once the inspection has been completed and the pool receives approval to open, the city will post an update at hvlnc.gov/pattonpool.

“We apologize for any disappointment caused by this year’s delay at Patton Pool,” Public Works Director Tom Wooten said. “Safety is our No. 1 priority, and we want to ensure we are complying with all the requirements set out by the inspectors before guests begin enjoying this great summer amenity offered by the city.”
