Four meetings scheduled Monday on city's Gen H comp plan

Monday is Gen H Day in the city. The city's downtown and business advisory boards will get updates on the new comprehensive land-use plan, the City Council and Planning Board holds a joint meeting on the plan and a Gen H open house takes place at the public library. Meetings are open to the public.

Here are the details:

  • The Downtown Advisory Board is having a special called meeting to receive an update on the status of the Gen H plan at 9:30 a.m. in  the second floor conference room at City Hall followed by the Business Advisory Committee receiving an update at 11 a.m. in the same meeting room.
  • The City Council and Planning Board meet at 4 p.m. in the City Operations Center, 305 Williams St., to provide direction on upcoming phases of the plan. A presentation regarding a biosolids grant award is also on the meeting agenda.The public may attend in person or via livestream.
  • The community open house on  the Gen H plan is scheduled for 5-7 p.m.  at the Henderson County Library, 301 N. Washington St. Participants may drop in and meet city planners and provide input on the future of Hendersonville.
